Mission

We are looking for an experienced Naval Engineer / Naval Architect to support engineering activities related to offshore and marine projects.

The engineer will contribute to the design, analysis and verification of floating units and marine systems, ensuring compliance with project requirements, international standards and classification society rules.

Main Responsibilities

• Perform and review naval architecture and marine engineering studies.

• Carry out or review stability, hydrostatic and hydrodynamic analyses.

• Perform weight and centre of gravity assessments.

• Support intact and damaged stability calculations.

• Carry out motions, seakeeping and operability studies.

• Participate in mooring, towing and marine operations studies.

• Review vessel or floating unit arrangements and naval architecture documentation.

• Support the design and integration of equipment on FPSO, FSO, FLNG or other offshore floating units.

• Review technical documentation issued by engineering contractors, shipyards and vendors.

• Prepare technical specifications, calculations and engineering reports.

• Participate in design reviews and technical meetings with clients, contractors and classification societies.

• Ensure compliance with applicable class rules, international regulations and project specifications.

• Provide technical support during fabrication, integration, installation and offshore operations when required.

• Interface with structural, offshore installation, subsea, piping and mechanical engineering disciplines.

Profile

• Master’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Ocean Engineering or equivalent.

• Typically 5+ years of experience in naval architecture or marine engineering.

• Previous experience on offshore Oil & Gas or marine projects is highly appreciated.

• Experience with floating offshore units such as FPSO, FSO, FLNG, drilling units or offshore vessels is an advantage.

Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards such as:

• DNV

• ABS

• Bureau Veritas

• Lloyd’s Register

• IMO regulations

Languages

• Fluent professional English required.

• French is an advantage.

• Ability to work within international and multidisciplinary project teams.
